A small building project

Many years ago, during my childhood, my Dad introduced me to model railways by the conventional route of a train set. Over time this evolved into a very neat wall mounted fold-away layout. The system comprised a variety of Trix, Triang, Joeff, Peco and Hornby track and rolling stock in a mixture of HO and OO scales.

It seems that whenever I want to print in colour, my ink-jet cartridges have dried out.  On this occasion, so had the spare set.  Perhaps I should store them somewhere cooler.  The printer and spare cartridges had been given to me by my Dad when he bought a new printer, so I have not previously [...]

Descent of the red mist

At this time of year, when the days are short and the mist swirls in Dickensian cliche, a familiar horror once again stalks our streets. A source of great frustration and no small danger pollutes our roads. Quite literally, a dazzling light is being shone into the eyes of the drivers and riders on our public highways. It is the scourge of the high intensity rear fog-light.
